48 FIRST ALERT: Power Outages reported across Tennessee Valley

Ala. (WAFF) - Multiple communities across the Tennessee Valley are experiencing power outages following Friday night’s severe weather.

As of 11 a.m. Saturday morning, Huntsville Utilities is reporting that crews are working to restore power with the majority of outages occurring in the northernmost area of coverage near Hazel Green. Downed trees, powerlines and broken utility poles are being repaired.

Florence Utilities is reporting over 600 people in Lauderdale County are without power with the majority of the outages occurring near Wilson Lake, between Florence and Killen.

According to POWEROUTAGEMAP.US, Franklin County has just over 300 outages reported as of 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
